Born in Detroit, Michigan, Kyle Resto grew up in a musical family and started playing instruments at 5 years old.
Using equipment around the house, he started out recording experimental rock bands that were part of Scrummage University based in Eastern Market, Detroit.
After a year of college in Chicago, he moved on to pursue engineering and production full-time at Soundscape Studios.
He then moved to New York City, where he worked under Ann Mincieli and Alicia Keys at Jungle City Studios. There, he engineered sessions for artists like Kanye West, Puff Daddy, Andre 3000, and Snoop Dogg. He also had the opportunity to work with emerging artists such as Wifisfuneral and Smokepurpp, whose first projects he mixed/mastered.
While at Jungle City, he met Yo Gotti and proceeded to travel extensively with him to record his latest project, Untrapped. He also worked in collaboration with various CMG-affiliated artists, such as Blac Youngsta, Moneybagg Yo, BlocBoy JB, and 42 Dugg.
Kyle mixes and produces from his home studio in Brooklyn, NY. For any inquiries, please contact him here.
